Just a Dream: The Life, The Love, The Legacy of Charles & Jewelia Galloway Higgins

A live storytelling experience and archival exhibition featuring an original June 14, 1861 Deed of Manumission, rare photographs, correspondence, artifacts, and the remarkable Higgins–Dunbar connection. Many items have never before been publicly exhibited.

Higgins Garden Dedication & National Votes for Women Trail Marker

Jewelia Galloway Higgins was honored with the dedication of the Higgins Garden at Woodland Cemetery & Arboretum, where a National Votes for Women Trail Historic Marker, funded by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, now recognizes her suffrage work, humanitarian service, and enduring contributions to Dayton.
